Job description

Specialty RN Training Opportunity - Emergency

Join to apply for the Specialty RN Training Opportunity - Emergency role at Island Health.

This position offers a full-time training program (theory and practicum) to prepare staff for work in a specific Island Health specialty department. Upon successful completion, the staff member will be placed into a regular full-time rotation within the trained specialty department.

Note: There is an 18-month return of service requirement as a permanent employee within the department. Staff may transfer between departments within the same specialty. The training requires full-time attendance. For more details, visit the Professional Practice Website.

Reports to the Nurse Manager, Department Head, or designate. Provides direct nursing care in hospital or community settings, adhering to organizational policies and BCCNM Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to organize workload and set priorities.
