Job summary

L3Harris WESCAM in Waterdown, Ontario, is offering a 16-month Co-op starting May 2026. You will work with the Reliability and Safety Engineering team and support the Integrated Logistics Support group to enhance product reliability and safety.

This role requires a can-do attitude, strong technical background, and eagerness to learn. Enrollment in an Engineering or Science program is required, with CGP clearance eligibility and ongoing co-op status.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in an Engineering or Science program and pursuing a 16-month Co-Op term starting May 2026.
• Candidates should be able to obtain CGP clearance for Canadian controlled goods.
• Engagement with Reliability and Safety Engineering and Integrated Logistics Support.
• Strong analytical and communication skills required.
• Programming background and knowledge of statistics are assets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to quantify reliability of fielded products and lower-level parts, and automate this process where possible.
• Develop predictive maintenance policies using telemetry data.
• Assist with DFMEA and design-phase reliability activities.
• Communicate results through written reports and presentations.
• Assist with product safety analyses such as fault tree analysis.

About the Role

This is a 16 month co-op term to start May 2026. Our products are only valuable to our customers if they are reliable and safe. That’s where you come in. You will be working closest with the Reliability and Safety Engineering team on a variety of tasks and initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to support the Integrated Logistics Support team. This role requires someone with a can-do attitude, strong technical background, and eagerness to learn new things.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis to quantify the reliability of our fielded products and lower level parts. Improve and automate this process as much as possible.
• Assist in developing predictive maintenance policies using telemetry data.
• Learn about and assist with activities to influence the reliability of products in the design phase (ex: DFMEA).
• Communicate results of analyses, findings, and studies in thorough written reports and presentations.
• Assist with product safety analyses, such as fault tree analysis.

• Currently enrolled and in good standing with co-op program through accredited university
• Able to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance
