We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in the Emergency department at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.
Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients in accordance with the hospital policies and the BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia. Reports to the Emergency/Intensive Care Unit Patient Care Coordinator.
Regional Emergency Department Education Program (REDEP)/HAU: The Northern Health Regional Emergency Department Education Program (REDEP) utilizes a standardized, evidence informed on-line curriculum offered by Elsevier, called Emergency Nursing Orientation (ENO). REDEP combines ENO online curriculum with a skills/simulation lab and clinical practicum to prepare registered nurses to provide safe and competent emergency nursing care, at a novice level. Upon completion of the REDEP education, learners will transition into the Northern Health Critical Care Program- High Acuity Unit (NHCCP-HAU). This education utilizes a standardized, evidence informed on-line curriculum offered by Elsevier, called Essentials in Critical Care Orientation (ECCO). NHCCP-HAU combines ECCO online curriculum with clinical practicum to prepare registered nurses to provide safe and competent within a High Acuity Unit, at a novice level.
