Kina Gbezhgomi Child and Family Services is seeking a Specialized Services Coordinator to oversee volunteer and parent support programs. This full-time role requires a background in social services or related fields, with a strong emphasis on indigenous practices and community involvement. The successful candidate will contribute to the well-being of families within the Anishinaabe community, ensuring adherence to relevant policies and standards.
Under the direction of the Service Supervisor, the Specialized Services Coordinator will administer and coordinate the volunteer and parent support programs. The position works in compliance with KGCFS, the Volunteer Services Manual, and relevant policies.
The work may involve exposure to wood smoke and sacred medicines used in traditional practices, including tobacco, sweetgrass, sage, or cedar. Candidates must reside within the service area.
