Foothills School Division seeks a motivated educator to support students with mental health needs at Senator Riley school for the 2025-2026 school year. The role emphasizes collaboration, development of individualized learning plans, and fostering professional relationships. Ideal candidates should be dynamic and committed to creating meaningful learning experiences.
Foothills School Division (FSD) serves the learning needs of approximately 8000 students from preschool to grade 12. We operate 22 public schools, an online digital school, an alternative campus, and three colony schools. These are located in the towns of Okotoks, High River, and Diamond Valley, and the communities of Blackie, Cayley, Heritage Heights, Red Deer Lake, Longview, Millarville and Foothills County.

The Role
This position is part of the regional supports program that will be at Senator Riley school for the 2025-2026 school year. These supports will be focused on supporting students with mental health needs.

The Candidate
As a member of a highly motivated team and student-centered educator, you are prepared to collaborate with colleagues in a Professional Learning Community. Your teaching practice includes the ability to design and plan learning activities that transfer, and develop thinking competencies. Further, your practice assesses individual student variables to inform the design of meaningful and experiential learning opportunities and effective assessment practice.
Your ability to foster effective professional relationships with student, families, staff and community is critical. You demonstrate a willingness to engage in extra-curricular activities and support students in the whole school experience that characterizes effective schools. Your capacity to integrate technologies and and support experiential learning that connects students to community resources within Maker-centered learning, CTF and CTS learning environments is evident .
