We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team on a casual basis. The nurse will administer infusion therapy at GreenShield-NKS clinics in Guelph, Cambridge, and Hamilton, Ontario.

Role in a Nutshell
  • Provide exceptional patient and customer service in line with GreenShield-NKS values.
  • Administer intravenous therapy and monitor patients under physician supervision.
  • Administer IM/SC injections as ordered.
  • Take appropriate action if patient safety or well-being is compromised.
  • Follow safety practices and procedures.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to pharmacovigilance and adverse event reporting.
  • Report adverse events as necessary.
  • Follow nursing practices outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Engage in continuing education.
What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with IV therapy.
  • Experience with IV antibiotics and biologics preferred.
  • Pediatric patient experience is an asset.
  • Willingness to commute to Guelph/Cambridge if needed.
Qualifications
  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Registered or committed to register with RNAO or equivalent for PLP.
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS is an asset.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills.
  • Physical ability to perform duties.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
