Marketing and Communications Specialist (Ben & Florentine)

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for coordinating different marketing initiatives and ensuring the consistency of the Ben & Florentine brand image across all platforms. The role supports brand visibility and sales efforts, while also assisting the operations team with franchisee communications.

  • 3 weeks of vacation;

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of the annual marketing calendar in alignment with company objectives.
  • Work closely with external agencies to roll out marketing campaigns and content calendars (review content, suggest publication ideas, ensure proper deployment, and track performance).
  • Supervise the creation and distribution of newsletters, including content validation and performance tracking (open rates, clicks, etc.).
  • Support the operations team in franchisee communications through weekly memos, the intranet, and events.
  • Manage customer feedback across various platforms.
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as meeting coordination, expense reports, and gift card distribution.
  • Ensure brand consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity across all communications.
  • Monitor marketing performance indicators and suggest optimization strategies.

Skills and Qualities

  • Excellent written communication skills in both French and English, with strong attention to detail and a keen sense of branding
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with discipline and prioritization skills
  • Solid understanding of content strategies for social media and newsletters
  • Comfortable working with external partners and demonstrating leadership in project and/or event coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Asana/Wrike, and Canva (an asset)
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or equivalent)

Qualifications

  • University degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in marketing project coordination, event planning, and/or managing external vendors
  • Self-starter with versatility and team spirit
  • Good understanding of performance marketing and market trends
  • Creativity
  • Experience in the restaurant industry is an asset
