Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  1. Support aircraft programs as a static, fatigue, and damage tolerance stress specialist within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  2. Review, recommend, and approve MRB (Material Review Board) stress reworks and repairs on defects during final assembly, including:
  • Acceptance of defects without repair
  • Removal and replacement of damaged parts
  • Ensure rework acceptance based on strength capability, environmental conditions, and stress levels for metallic and composite structures.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and external teams to resolve technical issues and share knowledge.
  • Document stress analyses and support repair decisions to maintain design integrity throughout the aircraft build process.
  • Coordinate repair solutions considering airworthiness regulations, materials, aerodynamics, and other relevant factors.
  • Follow MRB and QA procedures, perform internal audits, and ensure compliance with ISO, Transport Canada, NADCAP, and Six Sigma standards.
  • Your Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant aerospace stress analysis experience.
    • Knowledge of aircraft metallic structures, with experience on A220 structures considered an asset.
    • Experience with MRB or MAP processes, static, fatigue, damage tolerance analysis, and finite element analysis.
    • Understanding of composite materials and stress calculations.
    • Proficiency in interpreting aircraft structure drawings; CATIA V5 experience is a plus.
    • Knowledge of aeronautical materials and applicable airworthiness regulations, including Transport Canada standards.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills.
    • Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written.
