Job Description:

The Manufacturing Specialist for Energy Management and Maintenance oversees energy usage, building improvement, and efficiency projects, ensuring optimal operation of manufacturing equipment and systems. This role links energy management initiatives with maintenance strategies to guarantee sustainable and cost-effective operations within the manufacturing facility.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Champion the Building Energy Standard.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement energy-saving strategies for more efficient operations.
  • Inspect and monitor energy systems, including HVAC, to assess energy consumption and savings potential.
  • Gather, analyze, and verify data related to energy consumption and equipment efficiency, including utility data, bills, and readings.
  • Develop and execute energy-saving projects to enhance building performance.
  • Review architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans to evaluate energy efficiency.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with third-party suppliers on energy management and maintenance projects.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on energy efficiency and maintenance performance to management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in energy management, building maintenance, or facilities management in an industrial setting, with experience in reading and coordinating mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural drawings.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Windows, and Microsoft Office.
  • Other Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and HVAC systems, excellent project management skills, and fluency in both French and English.
