The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center, located in Kuujjuaq, offers comprehensive health and social services in eastern Nunavik. It serves seven Inuit communities with facilities including CLSC, a center for the elderly, and a hospital, employing approximately 1,000 staff members such as administrators, professionals, doctors, dentists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and support staff.
Nunavik is situated north of the 55th parallel, characterized by a subarctic climate and permafrost, which precludes agriculture. It is the largest region in Quebec, covering about a third of the province, with no road links to southern Quebec or between its communities. Access is via air and boat.

CLSC – Psychosocial Services
STATUS : Temporary full-time (35 hours/week), 1-year replacement
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR : Deputy Director of Community Services

Functions :
Under the authority of the Deputy Director of Community Services, the Clinical Activities Specialist acts as a clinical expert and advisor for psychosocial workers at the CLSC. This role involves quality control and evaluation of psychosocial services. Key areas include:
- Providing professional supervision and support to psychosocial workers;
- Ensuring the quality of interventions, record keeping, and adherence to standards;
- Developing and implementing protocols and procedures to enhance service quality;
- Standardizing practices and maintaining service continuity across community services;
- Supporting psychosocial workers with client management, caseloads, and statistics;
- Identifying training needs and facilitating access to continuing education;
- Collaborating with community services administrators to improve, implement, and harmonize psychosocial practices;
- Participating in working committees and performing related tasks.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Criminology, Psychoeducation, Psychology, or Sexology;
- Active membership in the relevant Professional Order;
- At least 5 years of clinical experience in CLSC programs;
- Minimum of 1 year experience in clinical supervision within the Health and Social Network;
- Knowledge of northern cultural realities;
- Fluency in English and French (spoken and written); knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset;
- Leadership, autonomy, organizational skills;
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
- Ability to foster positive interpersonal relationships;
- Capacity to support remote psychosocial workers;
- Willingness to travel to Kuujjuaq approximately every 2-3 months;
- Adaptability to a culturally diverse and demanding environment with multiple mandates;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
