Job description

Join to apply for the Specialist, Workforce Analyst role at Canada Post / Postes Canada.

The Specialist, Workforce Analyst plays an integral role in workforce planning, leveraging tools such as Python, Power BI, SQL, and Power Query. Responsibilities include modeling and analyzing data related to attrition, recruitment, internal movement, and ED&I, as well as supporting negotiations and corporate projects with data-driven insights.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and maintaining attrition forecasts using statistical models, analyzing variances, and adjusting forecasts accordingly.
  2. Supporting corporate negotiations and strategy initiatives by providing employee attrition and workforce data.
  3. Creating automated data capture systems and reports, instructing HR on system functionalities.
  4. Gathering and evaluating internal workforce data, identifying key and vulnerable positions, and communicating findings.
  5. Researching workforce trends and labor market issues, using statistical models to create demographic profiles.
  6. Coordinating with HR on workforce adjustment costs, processing related payments and invoices, and providing procedural guidance on programs.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience, with experience in a unionized environment as an asset.
  • Proficiency in Python, Power BI, SQL, Power Query; knowledge of labor econometrics and machine learning as assets.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and customer service skills.
