This role will also be expected to bring strong knowledge management and project management skills to keep content well organized and lead large content projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop hands-on expertise with highly technical software products: embedding yourself within the Product and UX teams to plan and develop documentation through various stages of the development release cycle
  • Create and Maintain Technical Documentation: Develop user guides, API references, integration manuals, and troubleshooting documents that cater to diverse audiences, including developers, end-users, and internal teams.
  • Leverage AI to accelerate content creation: Implement LLM-based workflows, prompts, and tooling that accelerates the creation of documentation artifacts.

  • Project Manage Documentation Initiatives: Lead documentation projects from planning through delivery, including setting timelines, coordinating cross-functional input, and ensuring timely publication aligned with product release cycles.
  • Innovate with multi-modal approaches: Go beyond static documentation by creating content suited for scalable customer experiences including GenAI chatbots and in-app guidance that lets users easily access the right information at the right time.
  • Information Architecture: Organize content logically, ensuring easy navigation and accessibility for users seeking information.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, and Customer Support to gather accurate information and translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation.
  • Documentation Tools Proficiency: Administer and publish via content management systems (e.g., Confluence, Gainsight Community) and use authoring tools to create and manage documentation efficiently.
  • Feedback Integration: Collect and incorporate feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve documentation quality and relevance.
  • Version Control and Updates: Implement version control practices to manage documentation updates in line with product releases and feedback.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, knowledge management, and documentation, preferably within SaaS and/or the renewable energy sector.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools and content management systems.
  • Ability to understand complex technical information and convey it clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preferred familiarity with SaaS, renewable energy, and energy industry technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
