What Will You Do
We’re looking for a Talent Program Specialist who’s passionate about helping people grow! This 18-month term position is all about creating and delivering programs that spark career development, leadership growth, and learning across Calgary Airports. You’ll blend strategy with data to boost engagement and build an inclusive, values-driven workplace. Whats The Team Like
Our team tackles HR with energy and purpose—covering talent acquisition, strategy, employee relations, and compliance. We’re a collaborative crew that’s passionate about creating an exceptional employee experience, and we love what we do.
What Are Some Of The Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and improvement of talent programs including performance management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Collect and analyze feedback through employee listening tools (surveys, focus groups, etc.) to surface meaningful insights that inform program evolution.
- Coordinate leadership development efforts including assessments, mentorship programs, and succession planning.
- Support performance and development planning cycles by working with HR Systems and leadership to optimize tools and frameworks.
- Champion student engagement by elevating the student program, building partnerships with post-secondary institutions, and supporting early career development.
- Collaborate with ERGs and internal teams to reinforce inclusion through programming, communication, and cultural awareness.
- Contribute to updates for Calgary Airport’s Accessibility Plan and support initiatives aligned with Employment Equity objectives.
What Do You Need To Bring
- The ability to gain and maintain a RAIC (RAIC Program and Application Information)
- 4+ years of experience leading talent development and engagement initiatives, with a proven ability to design inclusive, data-informed programs that support employee growth.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience.
WHAT OPTIONAL ELEMENTS SUPPORT YOUR APPLICATION (all Are Assets)
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Experience with implementing and promoting diversity and inclusion practices
- Certification as an Insights Discovery Accredited Practitioner or equivalent credential in psychometric tools
- Professional certification in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or Organizational Development (e.g. CPHR)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and platforms that support development planning and performance management.
