The Position

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate HR professional to deepen their generalist skills as they contribute to the team’s success through a wide variety of HR activities, including onboarding, HR metric reporting, and employee relations and engagement.

What success looks like?

  • Support the Talent and Culture Department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
  • Maintain HRIS data by updating employee information, running reports and providing relevant data on a regular basis,
  • Provide advice to staff on employee relations issues and human resources policies and procedures, escalating to the HRBP as needed
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing employees
  • Support staff recognition programs with a focus on improving employee engagement and retention
  • Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines
  • Support with payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of employee movements
  • Coordinate the communication of information related to employment updates with IT, Payroll and other teams
  • Assist in the preparation of various types of letters i.e., employment verification, employment offers, transfer/promotion, etc.
  • Support Plan Canada’s business travel and safety by responding to general travel inquires, ensuring staff have all safety requirements before travelling
  • Liaise with our travel vendor as required
  • Assist with HR projects, events, and initiatives, as required

As Our Ideal Candidate You Will Have

  • Relevant post-secondary education experience in the HR field
  • An understanding of HR best practices and current employment legislation
  • Exemplary organization skills and attention to detail A data-driven mindset and experience in HR metrics and reporting
  • People-centred attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Knowledge of SAP Success Factor HRIS is considered an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office software applications with in-depth knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • A flexible and adaptable work style; open to collaboration with a dynamic team and diverse stakeholders

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $50,000 and $62,000. We comprehensively evaluate a variety of factors to determine fair compensation, including experience, specific job-related skills, and relevant educational or professional training.
