Join the Business Solutions Engineering team in the Specialist, Software Engineering (Sitecore) role, where the next generations of software applications are being developed to enable CMHC to achieve its mission. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of innovative software solutions. You will act as a point of contact for all stakeholders in order to ensure business requirements are understood and met, all while supporting continuous improvement through CMHC’s Sitecore platform.

We are looking for a well-rounded professional with strong interpersonal, leadership, and business skills—such as teamwork, communication, and negotiation—driven by a passion for technology and innovation who is committed to continuous learning and professional growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and implement Sitecore solutions according to business requirements, ensuring high-quality code standards and the delivery of efficient, scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with our internal clients to determine their system needs, document the current and proposed business processes, and advise internal clients of the proposed solutions and their impacts.
  • Author technical specification documents and diagrams for new and existing solutions.
  • Work closely with the marketing and communications team as well as other members of the client community to create seamless, visually appealing, and user-friendly web experiences.
  • Participate in the testing and defect resolution process and deployment activities.
  • Stay updated on new Sitecore features, best practices, and industry trends to continually improve system capabilities.

What you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of expertise in developing Sitecore and front-end solutions with a strong ability to establish and apply development best practices.
  • A strong proficiency in Sitecore XP, Sitecore JSS, Powershell, TDS, GlassMapper, C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, Web API, Visual Studio, VS code.
  • Experience with:
    • Front-end development technologies such as: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, NextJS, ReactJS, NodeJS, Typescript and responsive design.
    • Cloud platforms such as: Azure DevOps, Docker, Azure Static Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus and API management, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA and APIs.
  • Knowledge of implementing Solr and Coveo search with Sitecore.
  • Experience in Agile environments with a strong track record of solving complex problems, leading challenging projects, and applying development best practices effectively.

It would be great if you also had:

  • A Sitecore Certification.
