The Specialist, Product Implementation role supports Digital Excellence in Health product teams. They provide in depth knowledge of specific product functionality, clinical workflows, strategic business analysis, as well as requirements elicitation and facilitation. The purpose of the role is to help guide all aspects of the product lifecycle, including the elicitation and management of requirements for product enhancements, supporting onboarding activities as well as acting as a subject matter expert for all aspects of the product. The role requires clear communication, both verbal and written, and close working ties with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure that the product remains relevant, effective and efficient.
Here is what you will be doing:
- Maintains business domain knowledge in order to share knowledge with their team, new team members and cross-functional teams. Provides mentoring to Business Analyst I.
- Acts independently with a low level of supervision and determines when to escalate broader impacting decisions to management.
- Actively works directly with the team for collaboration, peer support, and to ensure a consistent approach to executing work assignments.
- Identifies interpersonal relationship difficulties and helps team members transition though difficult situations.
- Collaborates with other cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in delivery of tasks/projects.
- Develops and takes responsibility for own workload, tasks, and initiatives for a specific product in collaboration with cross-functional teams across Ontario Health.
- Assists with the development and identification of product synergies to ensure efficient product delivery.
- Develops the best user experiences possible.
- Participates in user forums and user research to gain a deeper understanding of the client's needs.
- Recommends changes to product procedures and features.
- Leads and implements the change in procedures, business intelligence in an effort for achieving internal operational efficiencies.
- Actively engages in product team discussions and recommends process efficiencies, product features and changes to product features to improve the user experience, operation, and maintainability of the product.
- Creates new Ontario Health business processes and tools.
- Provides excellent service to internal and external clients by discovering and meeting their needs and building and maintaining positive and effective working relationships.
- Leads by example, demonstrating integrity, creativity, and enthusiasm in achieving results directly.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the product and its policy, procedures and standards.
- Develops processes and tools to support stakeholders’ implementation of Ontario Health's Identity and Authorization services
- Performs business and client requirement analysis in support of Identity and Authorization service development, operational and deployment projects and recommends solutions to achieve objectives; implements/monitors solutions.
- Develops and maintains process/solution documentation including workflows, use cases, user guides, and training materials
- Continuously seeks and identifies opportunities for the improvement of deployment, operational and registration processes and procedures.
- Solves business problems and provides leadership and guidance to clients and adoption teams.
- Educates clients, stakeholders, and users in the broader health care sector on Identity and Authorization policies, key concepts, and processes.
- Supports integration of various data sources with the BI solution while ensuring data quality requirements are met.
- Performs data analysis in support of program and stakeholder objectives.
- Analyzes and resolves end user problems related to data quality, accessibility, and interpretation.
- Adjudicates and processes requests from internal/external clients, stakeholders, and users.
- Collaborate closely with the development, operations, onboarding, and project teams in delivery of project/implementation including communication plan for stakeholders to ensure buy-in and awareness of features/changes.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health-related fields, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in process design, re-engineering, implementation and documentation and data analysis, data management and business intelligence.
- Considerable knowledge of multiple agile methodologies and capable of applying the correct Shu technique in the correct circumstances.
- Considerable knowledge of documentation tooling such as Confluence Wiki or similar tools.
- Good knowledge of JIRA or similar bug tracking tools.
- Good knowledge of project delivery practices in a matrix environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Process Mapping Techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of SDLC.
- Broad experience in data analysis and business intelligence.
- Knowledge of SQL, VBA, SharePoint, BI tools an asset.
- Good Business Domain knowledge specific to the product area.
- Good Knowledge of ITSM practices.
- Knowledge of Ontario Healthcare system is an asset.
- Knowledge of HL7/FHIR, XML messaging principles, techniques and technologies is an asset.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills to perform business and client requirement analysis, identify opportunities for improvement, solve business problems, analyze and resolve end user problems, perform data analysis.
- Strong communications skills, both orally and in writing, to engage in product team discussions, develop processes and tools, elicit requirements from users, educate clients, stakeholders, and users on Identity and Authorization policies, key concepts, and processes.
- Strong interpersonal, fact finding and interviewing skills to gain understanding of client requirements.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to quickly shift priorities and adapt to changes to meet organizational and department requirements.
- Ability to manage simultaneous projects from initiation to completion.
