The working pattern is Monday to Friday with participation in weekend working, public holidays, extended hours service and participation in on call.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist with experience in renal medicine to join the renal pharmacy team at the QEUH and work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team in to provide targeted, safe and effective pharmaceutical care to complex inpatients within the QEUH.
The QEUH has 65 IP renal beds, 32 of which are high acuity / transplant beds and there is input to the Day Ward and Pharmacist led OP clinics. You will work with the core team to provide support, training and mentoring to pharmacists undergoing training, including Foundation trainees, pharmacists undertaking the Foundation Pharmacist programme and Independent Prescribing.
You will need confidence and enthusiasm, be dynamic with the flexibility to try new ways of working, along with positivity and excellent communication skills.
You should have a Master’s Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Working towards a postgraduate qualification or an Independent Prescribing qualification is desirable. Commitment to CPD in line with GPhC requirements and completion of Vocational Training Scheme / Foundation Framework or equivalent experience is essential.
