Job summary

Bombardier in Dorval Plant 3 seeks a Specialist, Operations to lead strategic initiatives within manufacturing operations. You will advise the operations management team, define the master plan, and monitor key projects to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

With 12 years at Bombardier and 5 years in operations, you will build governance standards, develop dashboards and KPIs, and collaborate across sites to harmonize processes while maintaining a strong focus on results and details.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience at Bombardier.
• 5 years in operations and at least 3 years in management or equivalents.
• Experience in project coordination and administration and familiarity with project management tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to develop and implement processes related to operations.

Responsibilities

• Advise the manufacturing operations management team on strategic initiatives and decisions
• Propose project structures and organizational structures promoting team efficiency
• Define the master plan of the General Director, plan activities and projects, and monitor key projects
• Define a balanced dashboard and KPI set
• Be responsible for monthly reviews of the master plan and balanced scorecard for the General Director and management committee
• Participate in governance standards across operational sites
• Governance at the level of the General Director
• Oversee employee engagement projects in manufacturing operations
• Track budgets and expenses for projects in operations
• Define and align communications for the manufacturing operations team
• Collaborate with other sites to harmonize and standardize operational processes

What are your contributions to the team?

• Work in collaboration with other sites to ensure harmonization and standardization of operational processes

How to thrive in this role?

• You have 12 years of experience at Bombardier, 5 years of experience in operations and at least 3 years of management experience or equivalents
• You have at least a college degree
• You have experience in project coordination and administration and you are familiar with project management tools and techniques
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You are able to develop and implement processes related to operations
• You master all the steps and processes related to the manufacturing operations
• You have a sense of organization and great attention to detail
• You have interpersonal skills and are comfortable leading presentations for senior management
• You are a good team player on whom we can rely
• You are clearly focused on results and the quality of your work
• You master the MS Office suite (O365 environment)
• You have a very good knowledge of the French and English languages
