You will also act as a strategic partner across departments—engineering, maintenance, health & safety, environment, and operations—to develop, coordinate, and execute comprehensive operational readiness plans. You will also lead readiness initiatives, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and ensure that systems, processes, people, and infrastructure are aligned for a safe, efficient, and sustainable operation. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Coordinate readiness activities across departments to ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Develop and implement site-wide operational readiness frameworks and checklists.
  • Facilitate readiness reviews, gap analyses, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Manage readiness projects through all five phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including charters, schedules (Gantt charts), risk registers, and communication plans.
  • Track progress against readiness KPIs and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Work closely with department leads to define operational requirements, staffing plans, training needs, and system handovers.
  • Facilitate workshops, process mapping sessions, and diagnostics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support the development of SOPs, commissioning plans, and maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with finance and department heads to build business cases for readiness initiatives.
  • Quantify value, estimate resource requirements, and define success metrics for each initiative.
  • Support departments in identifying data and reporting needs to monitor readiness and early operational performance.
  • Leverage data visualization tools to communicate progress and insights.
  • Coordinate and lead readiness meetings, ensuring follow-up on action items and decisions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in project management, operational readiness, continuous improvement, or business optimization within industrial or resource-based sectors.
  • Demonstrated skills in change management, strategic planning, and organizational execution.
  • Proficient in data analysis and the development of comprehensive business cases to support decision-making and project justification.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in cost optimization, including budget development, cost tracking, and participation in variance analysis and financial review meetings.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver business improvement training programs, including facilitation of in-person workshops and presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization tools is considered an asset.
