This full-time role involves overseeing measurement equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting field operations. Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing, and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). Plains has an opening in our Olds office for a Measurement & Quality Specialist. This full-time position provides critical oversight and expertise in loss prevention, regulatory compliance, policies and procedures, and measurement equipment standardization. The specialist will also support field and engineering activities and run measurement programs to assist with OMS goals.
This role requires a solid understanding of measurement concepts and technology, with the ability to influence stakeholders involved in designing, installing, and operating metering and sampling installations. The specialist will appraise, monitor, and implement industry changes related to the measurement testing of liquids and gas in our pipelines and facilities.
