Air Canada is seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Specialist, Marketing Technology Implementation to lead the deployment and optimization of our digital data collection and marketing activation stack across all digital properties. This role is instrumental in implementing and scaling Adobe Experience Platform solutions—including Web SDK, Mobile SDK, AEP Tags (Launch), and server-side event forwarding—to enable accurate data capture, robust audience targeting, and real-time personalization.

You will play a key role in ensuring Air Canada’s digital platforms are equipped with high-quality behavioral data, enabling personalized customer experiences, campaign measurement, and data-driven decision-making across channels.

Responsibilities :

  • Own the end-to-end technical roadmap and implementation of marketing data collection solutions across Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Tags, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager.
  • Architect and deploy Adobe Experience Platform Web and Mobile SDK integrations, including full XDM schema mapping, consent enforcement, identity stitching, and event forwarding via the Edge Network.
  • Manage technical execution of tagging strategies—both client-side and server-side—to support activation, analytics, and personalization use cases across platforms and channels.
  • Interface directly with AEP APIs (Schema Registry, Catalog, Batch Ingestion, Query Service, Identity Service) to automate schema creation, payload validation, and data routing.
  • Govern detailed, structured technical documentation (e.g., SDR, BRD-to-implementation mapping, API field contracts) to power accurate and scalable implementations.
  • Build relationships with platform owners, product teams, frontend developers, and enterprise architects to ensure alignment between business use cases, schema structure, and real-time data collection.
  • Be a thought leader by staying current with Adobe’s product roadmap (Web SDK, Mobile SDK, Edge segmentation, Destination SDK, Server-Side Forwarding) and recommend best-fit architectural patterns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years in digital marketing technology, implementation, or analytics engineering, including 3+ years in a senior technical or lead role.
  • Expert-level experience with :

Adobe Experience Platform (Web SDK, Mobile SDK, XDM, Real-Time CDP, CJA)

  • Adobe Launch / Tags (custom extensions, rule-based deployment, data elements)
  • Proven hands-on work with REST APIs for schema manipulation, payload injection, identity stitching, and event ingestion.
  • Proficiency with version control (Git), scripting (Node.js, Python, Office Scripts), and testing frameworks to support automation.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, schema evolution, and documentation standards for digital data collection ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with privacy compliance implementations (GDPR, CCPA, Law 25), CMP integration, and consent mode enforcement via Launch rules or tag templates.
  • Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical topics to stakeholders across Martech, Product, Analytics, and Engineering.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
