Job Summary

In this role, you will play a key part in the planning, deployment, testing, and maintenance of corporate desktop applications and device configurations across the organization. Reporting to the Manager, Service Management, you will be responsible for developing and certifying software packages, managing desktop imaging, configuring devices, and supporting Intune AutoPatch deployments. You will also serve as a technical consultant and support resource, contributing to service improvement initiatives and ensuring a secure, efficient, and up-to-date desktop environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager, Service Management the successful candidate will:

-Provide desktop application deployment services as a key member of the Information Technology Team.
-Develop, test and certify all corporate software for quality assurance prior to implementation and deployment.
-Schedule software application deployment packages and develop installation scripts when needed.
-Develop and maintain desktop/laptop/tablet images for deployment.
-Provide technical support and act as an internal consultant to departmental, development and enterprise teams on the implementation and support of new and existing information technology systems.
-Manage group policies (GPO’s) related to client desktop configuration in city domain.
-Create/support Intune configurations for desktops in an Enterprise environment.
-Maintain and support Intune AutoPatch for citywide desktops. Convert desktop group policies to Intune configurations.
-Conversion of SCCM application packages to Intune Applications.
-Ensure client hardware, software are kept current by regular testing and implementation of service packs, patches and hotfixes.
-Develop, document, and maintain a computer lab for testing and certification of enterprise and departmental applications and configurations.
-Maintain the information technology library of software installation media, packages, and documentations.
-Participate on core teams and provide recommendations towards the implementation of an Information Technology infrastructure and service management strategy.
-Prepare various types of documentation including software code, client instruction, backup and recovery procedures.
-Provide solutions to Help Desk support issues using strong interpersonal skills, dealing with clients one on one.
-Review and automate daily operational tasks.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

-Post-secondary degree/diploma in computer science or related discipline with a minimum 5 years’ experience in desktop hardware and software installation, configuration, testing and image maintenance.
-Extensive knowledge and experience of desktop application deployment and software application packaging using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager SCCM CB and InTune.
-Extensive knowledge and experience in desktop image build using task sequence.
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, SCCM, Intune provisioning, Intune Auto-Pilot and Auto-Patch.
-Extensive knowledge in Intune and SCCM CB architecture.
-Extensive knowledge in PowerShell and any other scripting tools.
-Proficiency with desktop operating systems (Win10 and Win11), client server architectures, utility software and business application software such as the Microsoft Office suite, and Microsoft Windows operating systems are essential.
-Knowledge in M365 and InTune Co-management.
-Knowledge in M365 user license categories and assignment.
-Knowledge in SCCM and Intune patching and Feature Update ring.
-Excellent network administration, analytical, technical, communication (written and oral), organizational and project management skills.
-Must have solid technical, analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks, takes initiative and is adaptable.
-Proven ability to work in a project team environment.
-Demonstrated commitment to service excellence, quality, and client communications.
-Good ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts and technologies.
Hourly Rate/Salary:$ 89,464.00 - $ 119,286.00
