  • Provide technical oversight for FAT, DVT, Code Conversion Testing, equipment qualification, commissioning, and field execution.
  • Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for complex technical issues.
  • Serve as a key technical interface with clients, vendors, manufacturing teams, project personnel, and field organizations.
  • Support proposals, estimates, schedules, execution strategies, engineering standards, and operational planning.
  • Mentor engineers and technical employees while promoting technical excellence and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, cybersecurity, configuration-management, regulatory, and engineering-governance requirements.
About you
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation, Software, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • P.Eng. designation or eligibility for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario is highly desirable.
  • Recognized technical expertise and credibility within a specialized engineering discipline.
  • Advanced experience developing and integrating HMI and SCADA solutions using WinCC or comparable industrial platforms.
  • Strong experience with LabVIEW, National Instruments hardware, automated testing, instrumentation, and data-acquisition systems.
  • Extensive experience with instrumentation, sensors, measurement technologies, signal conditioning, equipment interfaces, and calibration principles.
  • Experience with cybersecurity, configuration management, engineering change control, and lifecycle management for industrial control systems.

  • Strong experience with LabVIEW, National Instruments hardware, DAQ systems, instrumentation, and automated testing.
  • Experience supporting nuclear projects, CANDU refurbishment, retube tooling, remote handling, robotics, inspection systems, or field services is highly desirable.
  • Extensive progressive experience in instrumentation, controls, automation, electrical engineering, or complex industrial systems.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Siemens PLC and automation platforms, including TIA Portal, Step 7, S7-SCL, Safety PLCs, SIMATIC NET, industrial TCP/IP, RTU systems, PROFIBUS, and PROFINET.
  • Advanced knowledge of motion-control technologies, including servo systems, VFDs, motors, encoders, positioning systems, and coordinated-motion applications.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical system architecture, control-panel development, industrial networks, machine controls, and system integration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in engineering verification, validation, equipment qualification, commissioning, and complex troubleshooting.
  • Expertise related to CANDU refurbishment, retube tooling, remote handling, robotic systems, inspection equipment, or nuclear field services is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in motion control, electrical system architecture, control panels, system integration, verification, validation, and commissioning.
