This role is a key operational partner to the CHRO and HR Leadership Team, responsible for supporting and enabling HR initiatives from concept to execution. The incumbent will support HR leadership by managing daily operations, coordinating cross-functional projects, and supporting HR initiatives that are aligned with broader business objectives. This role is responsible for managing the annual HR calendar, coordinating meetings and goal tracking, supporting budget oversight, and driving strategic HR initiatives.

HR Business Planning Support
- Track key initiatives and support the CHRO and HR leadership in consolidating the HR strategy and leadership efforts.
- Support HR business planning, goal setting, and progress tracking to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.
- Map out requirements and timelines for HR updates and reporting across multiple forums (e.g., Quarterly Business Reviews, Board of Directors, EMT, HR team, Enterprise Risk Management).
- Work backward from key meeting dates to ensure all HR materials are prepared, collecting and consolidating information from across the HR function and facilitating leadership reviews.
HR Team Operations
- Develop and maintain an HR annual functional calendar by collaborating with function leads and integrating HR processes and deadlines into a shared schedule.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate HR meetings—including agenda setting, securing guest speakers, preparing materials, and collecting prereads—to ensure team engagement and alignment.
- Track the HR budget and oversee procurement processes, including purchase orders (POs), Statements of Work (SOW), and contracts related to HR initiatives.
- Support a variety of HR initiatives depending on business need. Examples include:
- Supporting compensation projects
- Consolidating VP talent review and succession data
- Feedback gathering / focus group coordination
- May support completion and tracking of employer award applications
- Support with employee surveys (Gallup)
- Assist in the maintenance and refresh of performance management or other tools
- Research, analyze, and prepare recommendations on various HR initiatives (e.g., compensation, benefits, organizational development, engagement).
- Develop and maintain project plans, tracking milestones, deliverables, and risks. Consolidate updates from across all HR Project teams for HR Leadership updates.
- May run HRIS reports, analyze HR data, prepare reports as needed.
Presentations & Communications
- Prepare high-quality presentations, briefing materials, and talking points for CHRO and HR leadership team.
- Ensure MyE page content is current and recommend enhancements to improve usability and engagement.
- Participate in the development of communication planning and content for HR rollouts and key projects as needed.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience
Experience : Preferred 5 years in an HR role with operational or project management responsibilities. Prior experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a strong background in HR processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Tech savvy and experience with HRIS systems and data reporting tools.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to take vague ideas and build them into actionable plans.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in preparing executive-level presentations and reports.
- Adaptability and comfort in a nimble environment where priorities may shift, requiring quick revisions and iterative planning.
- Strong skills in managing priorities and coordinating complex projects.
- High emotional intelligence with a collaborative and adaptable approach.
- Proficiency in using analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Clear, persuasive, and effective in both written and verbal forms.
Travel : While travel is expected to be minimal (10%), the incumbent must be able to travel between Canada and the US.
