What you’ll do

The Canadian Tire Events Team is looking for a passionate event planner to strategize, plan, and execute events that reflect CTC’s iconic brands and amplify its strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director, Events, the Events Specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver engaging and impactful events and experiences for employees, corporate partners, influencers and consumers. The Specialist will support the day-to-day project journey from concept development and planning to executing on site.

  • Support the management of corporate and consumer facing events and initiatives from concept to planning and execution; the event portfolio ranges from intimate experiences to unique product showcases and large-scale conventions and events

  • Work in collaboration with the cross-functional teams to bring business priorities to life and support overall business objectives

  • Liaise between external partners, vendors and internal business units

  • Create and adhere to key event materials including SOWs, workback schedules, budgets, and plans

  • Create and analyze post event reports and budgets, including highlighting project effectiveness and future areas of opportunities

What you bring

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in event management, communications, or marketing

  • Experience working on large scale projects/events

  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage competing projects/programs at a fast pace while prioritizing accordingly

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships

  • High level of organizational commitment and attention to detail

  • Creative problem solver with the ability to adapt and act quickly on your feet

  • Expertise in PPT, Excel, and Microsoft Teams

  • Working knowledge of Swoogo is an asset

  • Ability to travel upwards of 20% and must be willing to work evenings and weekends
