Status: (1) Contract Full Time – Up to 13 months

Salary Range: $78,336- $97,920 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton

Hours of work: 35 hours per week

The Information Management (IM) Division includes the sections of Business Intelligence, Content Intelligence and the Peel Data Centre. We are committed to enable the Regional workforce to gain value-added actionable insights, enable the optimal use of content and champion Open Government for all.

What you will do in this role:

  • Organize, analyze, and interpret spatial and sociodemographic data using ArcGIS Pro/Online, Experience Builder, Power BI, Excel, and Beyond 20/20 to deliver data-driven insights
  • Implement automation and workflow improvements using Python, ModelBuilder, Safe FME, SQL, and Power Automate
  • Conduct research and data analysis on land use, environment, housing, transportation, employment and related subjects
  • Produce maps, reports, charts, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to various groups within the corporation, community, and other public and private agencies
  • Support evidence-based decision-making through historical, current, and forecast data analysis
  • Represent the organization on technical advisory teams and community engagement initiatives
  • Foster strong collaboration with internal departments, clients, and stakeholders

What the role requires:

  • Four-year honours university degree in planning, environmental studies, spatial analysis, geomatics, or other relevant university programs
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative research and statistical analysis or related field is required
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered

Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced GIS and spatial analysis skills (Esri, FME, Python)
  • Strong data management, conversion, and research capabilities
  • Proficient in Esri ModelBuilder, Python, Safe FME, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communicator with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Effective team player with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion

In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.

It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
