We are currently looking for a Specialist, Credit Risk to join our team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Credit Risk Management.

As a Specialist, Credit Risk, you will support and contribute to the development, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of credit strategies for Fairstone Bank's indirect and credit card lending portfolios. This role collaborates with internal and external teams to meet business objectives and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Credit Risk Management functions and play a key role in developing and implementing risk strategies supporting the overall risk appetite framework.
  • Assist in risk strategy design, including documentation, implementation, testing, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with key bank departments such as Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance during project activities.
  • Produce key reports in a timely manner.
  • Create new reports for additional operational segments.
  • Investigate and propose new solutions and strategies to improve portfolio performance.
  • Perform other risk analytics duties as assigned.
  • WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Minimum 2-3 years of Credit Risk experience or experience within the financial services industry.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science is an asset.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management principles and risk factors, with the ability to assess, measure, and monitor risk.
  • Intermediate skills in SAS or SQL for data mining, transformation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of Triad, TSYS, TSYS Ace systems is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
