Role Overview

Be responsible for processes and procedures related to Baker Hughes' customs clearance. Support the business as the importer of record and oversee internal controls aligning with Baker Hughes IET customs standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary contact for customs operations, facilitating process enhancement and adherence.
  • Process notified imports and resolve inquiries.
  • File customs declarations and issue clearance instructions.
  • Prepare documentation and resolve transactional issues with brokers.
  • Assess and improve customs processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage customs regimes and special programs, ensuring correct duties and VAT payments.
  • Review and correct customs declarations and broker invoices.
  • File accurate customs declarations timely, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor shipments and resolve complex customs issues.
  • Provide guidance on customs topics and collaborate with International Trade Compliance.
  • Support Customs Special Programs and report KPIs.
  • Analyze global trade processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading teams and process improvements.
  • Desire to obtain relevant certifications if not already held.
