About the Role:

The Carrier Procurement Specialist aims to optimize service engagement between our Carrier Partners and Titanium Sales Staff. The role involves evaluating carrier options, arranging freight movements, and ensuring service quality metrics to meet customer and company expectations. The goal is to achieve total customer satisfaction by facilitating communication, solutions, and actions among all parties.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Source carriers to match available loads efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance department to qualify new carriers according to Titanium's standards.
  • Build and develop relationships with carriers and integrate them into our system.
  • Secure carriers with competitive rates to maintain fair market prices and profitable margins.
  • Stay informed about market conditions and carrier pricing trends to maximize profits.
  • Research and identify potential business partners, including carrier vetting.
  • Maintain and update the carrier database within Transportation Management Software (TMS).
  • Achieve spot rates by interacting with multiple carriers simultaneously.
  • Assist Customer Experience Representatives and sales teams with escalated issues.
  • Confirm accessorial charges and communicate with carriers from pickup to delivery.
  • Proactively identify risks and work towards resolving problems.
  • Select appropriate certifications and permits when booking trucks.
  • Adhere to performance standards as per KPI guidelines.
Position Requirements:
  • Proficiency with computer use and adaptability to new software.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Completion of all required training and recertification.
  • Knowledge of LTL operations is an asset.
  • Experience in supply chain or logistics is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field is advantageous.
