The Bid Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Business Unit and other Division bids, managing product pricing tables, supporting pricing development, bid processing, and handling bid admin tasks (renewal and bid tracking), as well as managing registration tracking.

What you’ll do :

  1. Understand financial aspects of proposal responses including Cost Benefits Analysis (CBA), Return on Investment (ROI) scenarios, and associated pricing structures.
  2. Read, interpret, and evaluate government contracts, subcontracts, and bid requirements, especially related to pricing.
  3. Coordinate required pricing data inputs with operations, engineering, and customer service to develop accurate models.
  4. Coordinate with the bid team and support the finalization of bid and proposal pricing submissions.
  5. Maintain pricing catalogs and collect and validate relevant data to ensure accurate estimating tools.
  6. Manage update processes.
  7. Support development of proposal outlines, cross-reference of compliance matrices, edit written material, write new material, proofread, and perform quality checks of proposals, evaluation notices, and final proposal revisions under tight deadlines.
  8. Analyze historical performance, industry benchmarks, and customer data to inform pricing decisions.
  9. Participate actively in discussions and negotiations regarding potential proposals and business development opportunities.
  10. Support business process management and tracking of existing and expiring agreements and other metrics/actions.
  11. Carry out special projects as assigned.

What skills you will use :

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with peers, functional area leaders, and management.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and understanding.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office products, especially MS Excel and Word.
  • Strong project management, planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • University degree or college diploma in business administration, communications, marketing, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of company processes, instructions, and export compliance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial and/or government contracting and proposals is preferred.

Background Information

The typical minimum education required is a university (bachelor's) degree in a specialized field and related work experience of three to six years.
