This position is a 1.0 FTE position (184 days), with a starting salary based on education and experience. It is fully benefit-eligible. Please review the full contract and benefits here. Specific openings for the upcoming school year are not yet known; the pool will be used by schools with vacancies for interviews and hiring decisions.
Incumbents teach students in assigned disciplines in classrooms, small groups, or at home. Responsibilities include adapting teaching methods and materials to meet students' needs, developing individualized educational plans, establishing and enforcing behavior rules, administering developmental tests, and collaborating with parents, guardians, teachers, counselors, or administrators to address behavioral or academic issues.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree and a license or eligibility to obtain one from the Minnesota PELSB in Emotional Behavior Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities.
Includes climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and seeing. Light Work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
Supports students from early childhood to age 21 with various disabilities. Classrooms are structured and supported by trained assistants, with a collaborative team of specialists.
