Analyst, Special Asset Management

A career as an Analyst in the team of Special Asset Management at National Bank is to act as critical operational and administrative support to the Special Asset Management Unit (SAMU), ensuring accurate reporting, efficient processes, and seamless coordination between internal teams and external partners. This job allows you to have a positive impact on the organization through your skills and knowledge.

Your role:

  • Prepare and distribute key reports, ensuring data accuracy for High Risk teams and leadership.
  • Maintain and update financial systems (CREWS, T24, WAVE) with loan, collateral, and risk data.
  • Support operational process improvements, documentation, and system enhancements.
  • Act as key liaison between SAMU, branches, centralized services, and external legal counsel.
  • Manage financial transactions, including payments, write-offs, and legal expense tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to team efficiency by identifying gaps, improving workflows, and providing training as needed.

Your team:

Within the SAMU sector, you are part of a team of 3 colleagues, and you report to Senior Manager, SAMU. Prerequisites:

  • Hold a diploma or degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • 7+ years in banking, credit, or loan operations preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with banking systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
