Qualifications

  • Experience leading and delivering spatial or 3D survey projects within the built environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting, resourcing, or contract delivery experience.
  • Experience delivering Surveying projects to government or local authority specifications is highly desired.

Bennett + Bennett is seeking a forward-thinking and experienced Spatial Project Manager to lead the delivery of cutting-edge spatial and survey solutions. Based in one of our Southeast Queensland offices, this full-time position offers the opportunity to manage diverse, high-impact projects across the built environment, infrastructure, and digital engineering sectors.

Your Role and Impact

As a key member of our Spatial team, you’ll contribute to our mission to foster industry leaders in Geospatial data acquisition and Data Enablement. You will lead a range of surveying and spatial projects, helping drive innovation, deliver value to clients, and ensure strong commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Project Leadership – Manage the full lifecycle of spatial projects from planning through to delivery—ensuring alignment with scope, technical standards, timelines, and budget.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management – Build strong, trusted relationships with clients by understanding their needs, proposing effective spatial solutions, and ensuring project satisfaction.
  • Commercial Acumen – Contribute to pricing strategies, resourcing decisions, and project profitability, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and to scope.
  • Team Coordination – Collaborate with Surveyors, Digital Engineers, and Team Leaders to align fieldwork and data delivery with project and client objectives.
  • Workflow Oversight – Lead the planning and execution of data acquisition, processing, QA, and output across conventional surveying, laser scanning, mapping, and BIM workflows.
  • Innovation & Improvement – Champion the adoption of new tools and processes to improve workflow efficiency, data quality, and value creation across our Spatial capability.

What You Bring

  • Experience leading and delivering spatial or 3D survey projects within the built environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including experience with budgeting, resourcing, or contract delivery in client-facing environments
  • Proficiency in laser scanning workflows, point cloud processing, and BIM tools.
  • Experience in delivering Surveying projects to government or local authority specifications is highly desired.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical audiences
  • A leadership mindset—able to support capability growth and contribute to a high-performing team culture
  • Tertiary qualifications in Surveying, Spatial Science, or a related field.
