Job description

  • Manage the day to day activities Health Club/Spa. Schedule employees and assign work to ensure proper coverage. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Monitor performance and recommend/initiate disciplinary, or other staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies. Alert management of potentially serious issues.
  • Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
  • Create a spa environment and experience that distinguishes our brand from the competition and delivers superior service and value; ensure clients and Members are greeted upon arrival and invited back upon departure.
  • Maintain adequate spa inventories and ensure facilities are prepared for daily services.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for setting the environment for each client and Member; music level, conversation, temperature, and pressure of massage;
    • Review and assess client intake information to insure the best course of therapy for each client.
    • Deliver massage therapy and other body conditioning treatments, which may include steam or dry heat treatments, that are considered exceptional in both technique and customer service.
  • Restock and reset treatment room when finished with shift including emptying trash, transporting dirty linens to laundry, stocking linen shelves, sweeping the room after salt treatments, and cleaning mirrors and sinks.
  • Recommend to clients and Members body conditioning activities or treatment products for home care.
  • Maintain record of treatments furnished to customers in accordance with established procedures.
  • Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Advanced vocational training in a relevant field plus one year experience in massage therapy, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must speak fluent English. Current certifications or licenses required.

This job requires ability to perform the following:

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Extensive work with hands and arms
