About the Lead Host
As a Lead Host, you will take on an elevated level of responsibility—serving as a key point of contact for team support and assisting with on-the-ground problem solving. These added responsibilities will run alongside your core Host duties, outlined below.
You excel at creating a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for both guests and team members. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness are second nature. Most importantly, you're ready to lead by example and contribute to a team dedicated to delivering transformative wellness experiences.
Responsibilities
Lead Host Specific Duties:
- Monitor all systems while Circuit sessions are in progress, and make adjustments as needed.
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, including staff scheduling needs, task delegation, and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback, striving to enhance guest experience.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team-oriented culture by promoting open communication, mutual respect, and teamwork.
- Conduct supply and retail inventory.
- Review cleaning checklists.
- Ensure all staff take scheduled breaks and leave on time according to their shifts.
- Support Hosts and Cleaners with any questions that may arise during their shift.
Guest Welcome and Engagement:
- Greet and welcome guests as they enter the spa, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Assist clients with check-in procedures, verifying appointments, waiver checks and updating relevant information in the booking system.
- Provide detailed information about available service packages and any ongoing promotions.
- Handle client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with a professional and helpful demeanour.
Appointment Coordination:
- Efficiently manage last-minute changes, cancellations, and rescheduling request while maintaining an organized booking system.
- Coordinate special requests on the guest scheduling platform.
- Prepare any special requests or retail purchases for guests prior to arrival.
- Coordinate with other hosts to ensure a smooth flow of appointments and schedules.
Client Services:
- Maintain a neat and organized reception area, ensuring that it reflects the CWGI's ambiance and values.
- Handle client feedback, comments, and complaints in a proactive and empathetic manner.
- Assist in processing payment transactions accurately and efficiently, while maintaining guest confidentiality.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the CWGI's offerings, services, and policies to address guest queries effectively.
Promotions and Retail:
- Promote CWGI's retail products, sharing knowledge about product benefits and features with guests.
- Assist guests in making informed purchasing decisions on retail items, contributing to increased revenue for the spa.
- Assist in maintaining retail products, ensuring displays are attractive and products are well-stocked.
General Support:
- Support the cleaners with cleaning duties as needed, such as washing dishes, folding laundry, staging, cleaning and sanitizing the Circuits prior to sessions.
- Collaborate with the management team to provide feedback on client preferences, concerns, and suggestions.
- Communicate any issues to the manager on duty.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in wellness industry products, services, and best practices.
- Minimum of 2 years of hospitality experience.
- Understanding of customer service and desire to provide excellent guest experience.
- Extremely accountable, available at off hours, and dedicated to ensuring the team and guests are always well taken care of.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure effective and efficient spa operations.
- Must live in Vancouver and be available including outside of standard hours
- Compensation: $24.50/hr
- Reports to: General Manager

- Expected hours: 21 per week
