Job Description

The Raffles London

Raffles London at The OWO and The OWO Residences by Raffles operate a 120-room and suite flagship hotel at the iconic Old War Office building, along with 85 branded residences at this landmark destination on Whitehall, including 12 restaurants and bars, featuring our signature chef Mauro Colagreco. The property also includes the Guerlain spa, Pillar Wellness, and a grand ballroom with a 600-seat capacity.

Scope Of Position

Your role will be responsible for welcoming and caring for all residents, guests, and members who enter the spa, fitness, and pool areas. The Spa Butler ensures the guest experience meets brand standards by engaging directly with guests and managing behind-the-scenes details to exceed expectations. Your objectives include assisting with spa-related information, providing personal attention, anticipating needs, and escorting guests to facilities.

You will work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless and consistent service, surpassing guest expectations.

Responsibilities

Operation

  • Greet all arriving and departing guests by name, inquire about their satisfaction, and maintain positive relations.
  • Recognize VIP guests using name recognition whenever possible.
  • Drive the guest experience and facilitate communication among colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Accommodate guest preferences and special requests to the best of the property’s abilities.
  • Maintain high ratings on TrustYou VOG scores, LQA, and Forbes guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain guest confidentiality and communicate preferences to relevant departments.
  • Handle guest complaints, comments, or concerns with discretion and urgency.
  • Manage amenities and towel supplies, including stocking and collection.
  • Ensure proper lighting and music levels in the treatment areas.
  • Be knowledgeable of reservation systems, POS, operation & control systems, and laundry equipment.
  • Maintain the appearance of therapy facilities and guest access areas.
  • Manage linen supplies, including delivery and inventory checks.
  • Stock towels and supplies in guest areas.
  • Prepare and serve drinks and refreshments hygienically and professionally.
  • Clean and disinfect all spa areas, including showers, bathrooms, reception, and treatment rooms, as well as fitness and pool areas.
  • Perform additional duties or support other departments as needed.
Health and Safety
  • Report and rectify hazards immediately.
  • Be familiar with fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
  • Ensure safety of persons and property by adhering to laws and regulations.
  • Promote health and safety awareness within the department.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven ability to provide high service levels under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong time management skills and professional appearance.
  • Willingness to work a 24-hour operational schedule when required.

Desirable

  • Experience in a luxury hotel environment with LQA, Forbes 5*, or similar standards.
