The Spa Associate is the first face and voice of Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa for our clients. Spa Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our clients. Spa Associates will greet, check in/check out and confirm scheduled services for clients and are expected to be knowledgeable about all spa treatments and services.

Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome and acknowledge each and every client with a smile, eye contact and a friendly verbal greeting using the client’s name when possible
  2. Answer, record, and process all client calls, requests, questions, or concerns; follow up to ensure each has been met to clients’ satisfaction
  3. Schedule services for individuals and large groups using spa reservation system
  4. Update the reservation/cancellations list throughout the day, inform providers of last-minute changes and resolve scheduling issues as needed
  5. Multi-task between answering phones, booking appointments and selling memberships, gift cards and upgrades
  6. Process client check-ins by confirming reservations and assigning RMT or Esthetician
  7. Process check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges
  8. Process payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, charges, and provide change
  9. Address client concerns, requests, or issues either individually or by enlisting the help of others
  10. Speak with clients using clear and professional language and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
  11. Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
  12. Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and associates
  2. Polite and courteous telephone manner
  3. Previous salon/spa or reception experience an asset
  4. Proven fluency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook), and proficiency in computer keyboarding skills
  5. Ability to stand for long periods of time
  6. Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  7. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  8. Prior computer experience
  9. Sales focused - the ability to meet quotas and goals
  10. Self-motivated, mature and reliable
  11. Friendly and approachable
