Southwest Kootenay Team Leader

The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Kootenay is seeking to appoint a Team Leader for the position of full-time priest/pastor/minister for the parishes of the Southwest Kootenay.

You
You’re an adaptive, team-oriented leader who will prayerfully and sacramentally guide and support our licensed lay ministers, deacons, and locally-trained and retired priests, while helping us determine the future mission of our congregations.

You’re looking for a unique environment overseeing multiple distinct congregations in transition. This isn’t the old one-priest-per-congregation situation; you’ll be serving six congregations in three parishes, including a house church, a downtown church, and rural churches. You’re looking forward to using your skills in managing change with a variety of personalities and priorities in a dynamic environment.

We are three parishes (Creston, Kootenay Summits & Valhalla Parishes) working together to seek new leadership as we transition into God’s emerging future.

We live in the Kootenay region of BC, a destination vacation area, nestled among majestic mountains, plentiful trees, and abundant water. Travel between congregations takes us through amazing river valleys and over gorgeous mountain passes. We are an eight-hour drive (one hour flight) from Calgary or Vancouver and under four hours from Kelowna, BC or Spokane, WA.
