How you will create an impact

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Cyber & Professional Liability, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, implementing strategies for profitable growth, and maintaining key broker, client, and partner relationships.

  • Manage and service an existing renewal book of management liability insurance for public companies, alongside underwriting new business.
  • Perform pricing analysis using data analytics and modeling tools.
  • Foster a team culture centered on collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Build and strengthen broker and client relationships, and generate new business through collaboration with our broker network.
  • Ensure diligent underwriting and excellent client service.
  • Collaborate with sales, distribution, and other teams to achieve positive outcomes and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Maintain well-documented files that comply with company and departmental standards.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Fluency in English and French (verbal and written) is essential, as a significant portion of underwriting activities will occur outside Quebec.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in Cyber & Professional Liability underwriting.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments.
  • Strong communication skills to deliver difficult messages and influence outcomes.
  • Highly organized, motivated, autonomous, and responsible, with leadership qualities.
  • Experience working within a team, positively influencing others, and supporting team leaders.
  • Understanding of behavioral complexities and effective management strategies.
  • Designations such as CFA, CIP, FCIP, or CRM are assets.
