Job Description

Join our team and be part of an exciting company! As a key team member reporting to the Chef, you'll work closely with the restaurant team, take pride in your work, and contribute to exceptional menu execution. You'll learn our systems and procedures and have opportunities for advancement. Bring enthusiasm and professionalism to your dishes and help create memorable guest experiences!

The Day to Day:

  • Be punctual, focused, and positive
  • Have a strong background in cooking and recipe development, with a willingness to learn and accept feedback
  • Contribute to maintaining kitchen cleanliness and operations
  • Build positive relationships with team members across departments
  • Communicate effectively about menus and events; manage ordering and inventory
  • Assist in training and coaching fellow cooks and co-op students
  • Uphold high standards of integrity, ethics, and promote the restaurant positively
  • Showcase your dishes on social media (optional but encouraged)
  • Demonstrate conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced, high-performing restaurant
  • Culinary diploma or degree (asset)
  • Proficient in professional cooking and knife skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Willingness to learn and participate in educational opportunities
  • Food Handlers certificate required
  • Availability evenings, weekends, and holidays
