A leading winery is seeking a Sous Chef to assist in managing the culinary team while ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate will possess a Red Seal Certification and have a proven record in professional cooking, contributing to memorable wine and food pairing experiences for guests. Sous Chefs will act as an assistant manager to the winery Chef and help lead a culinary/kitchen team in developing and executing patio/restaurant, wine and food pairing experiences including special events. Ensure all dishes are prepared to Arterra standards to showcase our premium VQA wines that align within wineries brand strategy. Assist with offsite catering when required.

Duties/Responsibilities/Procedures:
· Execution of food delivery for patio/restaurants and special events
· Preparation of food ensuring quality, consistency and presentation are meeting all winery and health standards
· Providing exceptional and professional customer service
· Ensure line cooks and kitchen assistants are preparing food according to standards and adhering to kitchen policies
· Off-site catering when required
· Assist Chef as required
· Representing the winery at offsite events
Job Requirements:
· Red Seal Certification
· 3-5 years professional cooking experience
· Ability work well within a team-focused environment
· Knowledge of variety of cooking methods
· Knowledge of and ability to respond to special dietary needs
· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
· Responsible and trustworthy
· Ambitious and goal-oriented
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Wine knowledge an asset but not necessary as training is provided
· Must be available to work on evenings and weekends
· Food Safe Handler’s Certification
Compensation: $24/hr plus gratuities
