The newly renovated Embassy Suites San Francisco Airport is hiring its next Complex Sous Chef! In this role, you will oversee the culinary production of the hotel's full-service restaurant, complimentary breakfast and evening reception, room service, and banquets. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with at least 2 years of culinary leadership experience who are ready for the next step in their career.

A Sous Chef is responsible for assisting with the direction and oversight of all culinary operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Wage: $75,000-$85,000 annually, dependent on experience.

What will I be doing?

As Sous Chef, you will assist with the direction and oversight of all culinary operations, aiming to deliver exceptional guest service and ensure financial success. Responsibilities include:

  1. Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all culinary activities, including meal preparation, food quality, safety and sanitation standards, team performance, policy implementation, cost control, and profitability.
  2. Create and implement menus for special banquets and events, based on current food trends and regional tastes, in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director.
  3. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol standards set by federal, state, local, and company regulations.
  4. Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, counseling, training, scheduling, and recognition.
