Sous Chef - Chatham

We are passionate about real cooking, and we want you to be part of it. As Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef, lead the kitchen team, and ensure the delivery of high-quality dishes across 14 shifts per week.

Your responsibilities include leading shifts, managing kitchen operations effectively and safely, maintaining standards such as stocks, Health & Safety, Hygiene, and ensuring food is prepared and served on-spec and on-time.

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Experience working with fresh ingredients and good kitchen skills
  • A proactive work ethic, leading from the front and maintaining high standards
  • Relentless drive and a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of KPIs, labor, stock, and food safety decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of rota scheduling, sales, labor forecasting, and HR processes
  • Successful experience in training and recruiting kitchen staff
