Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC, owner of Toby Carvery in Dover, is seeking a Sous Chef who will run a section, train the team, and stand in for the Head Chef when required. You’ll lead with passion for great food and guest satisfaction, ensuring smooth kitchen operations in a busy environment.

You will manage ordering, stock control, and hygiene standards while supporting a branded menu and helping the team deliver meals guests love. Join a team that values growth and recognition.

• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
