WHAT OUR SOUS CHEFS DO

Our Sous Chefs are skilled chefs who combine their culinary abilities with management skills. They oversee our Food & Beverage program, ensuring high standards and efficient kitchen management.

A SOUS CHEF'S DAY-TO-DAY

  • Adhere to the company’s F&B menu and purchasing programs
  • Maintain budgeted revenue, costs, and cash flow related to food operations; review profit & loss statements and make adjustments as needed
  • Coordinate with the Operations team and Sales staff to plan, supervise, and execute banquet functions, including food preparation, service, and cleanup
  • Estimate food consumption and make appropriate purchases; schedule staff to match business volume
  • Partner with the KM/Chef or General Manager to address disciplinary issues and foster teamwork
  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards; supervise food preparation and storage
  • Assist in managing kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with DOH regulations through sanitation audits
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment at all times
  • Report critical issues promptly to the General Manager

WHAT IT TAKES

  • 1-3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venues
  • Experience with catering and special event food presentation is desirable
  • Relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Current ServSafe certification required
