Job Description

Work with our team of Chefs creating world class dining experiences for our guests. This is your opportunity to work in a Kitchen committed to preparing and serving the finest meals.

Competitive Salary:$65,000-$70,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education

Job Duties Include:

Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine or Senior Chefs, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide professional and proactive guest service while supporting colleagues, conducting shift briefings, and maintaining open communication with venue managers.
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation, follow hotel recipes and standards, and enhance food products through menu development and presentation.
  • Balance operational, administrative, and staffing needs, including scheduling, coaching, and mentoring culinary colleagues.
  • Manage inventory and ordering through Birchstreet, maintain proper food levels, and oversee labor productivity.
  • Handle disciplinary actions, assign daily workloads, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required experience:

  • Red Seal Journeyperson Cook Certification or international equivalency

Or

  • Completion of Rouxbe Culinary Foundations level 1 & 2.Receiving certification in both with a grade greater than 90% and 54 months (7,020 hours) experience in relevant workplaces

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of culinary supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in a luxury or large kitchen environment.
  • Safe Food Handling Certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Physically able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 lbs; constant standing and walking throughout shifts.
  • Comfortable working with kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, mixers, fryers, steamers, and freezers.
