What are we looking for:

Reporting to the Sourcing Manager - Packaging, the Sourcing Specialist, Packaging plays an essential role in Procurement. You will be responsible for executing sourcing strategies, managing vendors to optimize supply channels, identifying alternative sources, seeking process improvements and cost savings, and collaborating with vendors to meet targets.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, able to work independently and in teams, skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and operates with urgency.

You will work closely with the Sourcing Manager - Packaging and provide strategic sourcing services to key departments including Packaging Development, R&D, Product Development, and others.

Responsibilities include:

1. Develop and execute procurement policies, procedures, and strategies:

• Contribute to short and long-term sourcing plans.
• Lead complex sourcing projects impacting operations.
• Provide strategic advice, project feasibility, and resource planning.
• Develop sourcing management strategies and category value optimization.
• Standardize procurement processes and establish quality standards.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses and research supplier options.
• Improve planning to enhance customer fill rate and inventory targets.

1. Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Relationship Management:

• Source and qualify innovative suppliers, manage vendor database, and develop contingency plans.
• Lead tender events, negotiations, and manage contracts.

1. Cost Management:

• Create and implement cost-saving initiatives.

1. Analytics:

• Conduct data analysis to identify strategic opportunities and optimize supply chain.

1. Relationship Building:

• Foster cross-functional collaboration, develop networks, and provide training.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or relevant experience.
• 3-5 years in procurement/sourcing, preferably in manufacturing or CPG sectors.
• Experience with RFX management, sourcing lifecycle, ERP systems, and analytics tools.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, project management, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, innovative, with excellent organizational skills.

Extra Assets:

• Experience in Beauty, Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, or Food industries.
