Job summary

GoodMorning is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to lead supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding for indirect spend areas including services, facilities, logistics, marketing and IT. You will negotiate terms, manage contracts, and monitor supplier performance to drive value and reduce risk.

You will collaborate with Brand, Finance, Operations and Quality, conducting market research and RFx processes to secure compliant, cost-effective suppliers across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years procurement or sourcing experience with a track record of successful category tactics.
• Proficient in drafting, negotiating, and managing vendor agreements and performance metrics.
• Strong supplier evaluation across cost, quality, reliability, capacity, sustainability and ethics.
• Advanced financial analysis and data literacy, including TCO analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and integrity in sourcing activities.

As a GoodMorning Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing vendors to meet the company's procurement needs, with a primary focus on sourcing new products and a working knowledge of indirect spend categories such as services, facilities, logistics, marketing, IT, and retail-related spend. This role involves researching market trends, negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring that the materials or services sourced align with the company's quality, cost, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, and delivery requirements.

GoodMorning Sourcing Specialists work closely with colleagues in cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services, with growing ownership for supplier performance, contract outcomes, and risk mitigation, while maximizing value. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential in this role, along with an unwavering commitment to honesty, integrity, and strong moral and ethical principles in all sourcing activities.

What you'll do

• Identify suppliers or service providers based on quality, cost, regulatory, and delivery performance.
• Prepare and issue RFx documents, ensuring clarity in specifications and requirements.
• Evaluate and select suppliers by conducting thorough due diligence, assessing reliability, production capabilities, and adherence to quality and ethical sourcing standards.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize value and minimize risk.
• Support sourcing activities across indirect spend categories (e.g., services, facilities, logistics, marketing, IT) in alignment with operational, financial, and retail business needs.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations, and maintain strong, long-term relationships to ensure consistent supply.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to discuss achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Implement corrective actions as needed to address performance issues.Assess potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
• Analyze the competitive landscape to make sure GoodMorning's products maintain a market advantage.
• Conduct market research and stay informed on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new sourcing opportunities, to ensure GoodMorning continuously offers products that its customers love.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve sourcing strategies to achieve company goals and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Track and report on key sourcing metrics and supplier performance data to identify improvement areas.
• Support sourcing and negotiation activities related to retail operations, including service providers and retail store-related contracts, as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a proven track record of developing tactics that successfully introduce high-quality consumer products to market.
• Proficient in drafting, negotiating, and managing vendor agreements to secure beneficial terms, enforce compliance and performance metrics, and mitigate sourcing risks.
• Strong capability to conduct end-to-end supplier evaluations (cost, quality, reliability, capacity, sustainability, and ethics) while navigating North American and global regulatory standards.
• Advanced financial analysis and data literacy skills, including cost modeling and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Demonstrated organizational and project management skills to handle multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously, adapt to changing market conditions, and drive continuous improvement.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, grounded in an unwavering commitment to ethics, discretion, and integrity.
• Proficiency with modern procurement software platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Cloud, Coupa) and Google Workspace applications.
• Working knowledge of indirect spend categories (facilities, logistics, marketing, IT) or familiarity with retail market leases and commercial property agreements is a strong asset.
