Looking for a talented Sourcing Manager for its Plastic Injection/Assembly Business Unit. The Sourcing Manager will provide strategic, developmental, and tactical sourcing direction in support of new product development manufacturing. This position oversees the implementation of contracts for products, develops strong supplier relationships, assesses performance of key suppliers, and develops business improvement plans to provide a continued focus on delivering improved value to the enterprise. The candidate should be able to develop a strong knowledge of finding and developing suppliers, working with them from prototype to full production.

Key Duties:

1. RFQ, selection and qualification of suppliers including capability audits, NDAs, and development of contracts.
2. Manage supplier relationships, conduct annual business reviews, and provide performance feedback.
3. Assist in developing and implementing sourcing strategies to reduce total costs, ensure supply chain security, and increase operational efficiency while maintaining engineering and quality standards.
4. Monitor ongoing supplier performance to achieve operational and procurement metrics.
5. Negotiate supplier pricing for materials and components, validating price changes supported by commodity indices and currency exchange rates.
6. Establish and drive continuous improvement targets for suppliers.
7. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams for new product introductions, cost improvements, engineering, supply management, or warranty problem-solving initiatives, including preparing investment proposals for management approval.
8. Manage the engineering change notice (ECN) process related to procurement.

Key Must Have’s:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or supply chain REQUIRED.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience procuring sheet metal, hinges, latches, etc.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with any ERP system.
• Strong MS Office Suite skills.
• Understanding of cost reduction techniques and ability to articulate procurement strategies.
• Proficiency in handling negotiations with suppliers.
• Experience managing RFQs from a procurement standpoint.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement with suppliers.
• Global sourcing experience highly desirable.
• Automotive or heavy truck industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with global logistics.

Travel: Up to 15%, with suppliers in the USA and Mexico, and other company facilities.
