Job description

What you'll do

1. Anticipate the needs of our customers and put them first in all that you do
2. Lead, coach and motivate colleagues to achieve success and foster colleague growth
3. Be committed to maintaining merchandising and operational standards
4. Be accountable for departmental sales results and financial objectives

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure exceptional customer service is provided in a courteous manner to maintain our reputation for friendly, effective, and personalized experience.
• Direct and supervise all Soup, Sandwich, Chill & Grill staff to secure efficient and courteous customer service;
• Respond immediately to any customer inquiries, requests and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times;
• Maximize sales and gross profit, ensuring sales goals, budgets, and shrink targets are met;
• Responsible for ordering, receiving, inventory, and display of merchandise;
• Hire all part-time staff and train new employees;
• Schedule all Soup, Salad, and Sandwich clerks ensuring strict control of wage costs;
• Interpret and administer company policy and ensure compliance with the union contract;
• Ensure the maintenance of equipment as well as safety and sanitation of the department;
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulations, and audits;
• Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the prepared foods industry, with previous management experience in a restaurant or fast food operation
• Post-secondary education in culinary preparation or line cooking procedures is a plus
• Flexibility to work various hours including days, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
• Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
